MAGNUM Ideal Frost-free ribbon
In lots of situations, stopcocks, (water) pipes, waste pipes and similar need prevention from freezing. To prevent damage because of frost, MAGNUM offers a simple solution: with MAGNUM Ideal frost protection ribbon cable, frozen and burst water pipes are history! The MAGNUM Ideal program is specially designed to keep (water)pipes, drains, stopcocks etc. frost free.
Problems caused by freezing can easily be prevented by using an Ideal ribbon cable, ready to install and with automatic thermostat function. Simply attach the cable to the water pipe, put extra insulation around it, and you'll have a safe, simple and cheap system that keeps the water flowing!

Ready to connect frost-free ribbon cable with bimetal limiter. The ribbon cable is powered up at temperatures below +5°C and switches off automatically if the pipeline temperature rises above +5°C.
Ideal ribbon cable is available in lengths from 1 to 48 meters and is ready to use with a 2-meter power cable and an earthed plug. With the thermostat in operation MAGNUM Ideal consumes 10 watts per linear metre.
MAGNUM Ideal is extremely easy to fit to pipe work using aluminium tape or plastic quick fasteners (Ty- Wraps). It is recommended to use MAGNUM Ideal ribbon cable in conjunction with (polyethylene) pipe work insulation of minimal wall thickness of 10 mm. This provides optimal protection and insulation, ensuring energy-conscious operation.
