MAGNUM Insulation
MAGNUM offers a range of insulation materials which are specifically suitable for the different types of floor heating systems, each with their own specific constructional specifications. The better the insulation of the floor, the better the output and warmth of the floor heating system which means better energy efficiency and therefore lower costs.
MAGNUM Isorol
MAGNUM Isorol is a 3 mm thin insulation which consists of polystyrene with an aluminium top layer. Ideal in combination with MAGNUM Comfort heating cable. The Isorol can be used directly on a concrete top layer, on which the Comfort Cable should be attached to. Isorol functions as a heat diffusing shield and improves the efficiency and reaction time of the floor heating system. Isorol is a soft, non pressure proof material. Using it creates a floating floor, which requires a sufficient amount of pressure proofness of the concrete top layer, ie this should be thick enough to handle pressure and weight. A minimum thickness of concrete ,tile glue and tiles of at least 4 – 5 cm is required.
MAGNUM Isoplate
MAGNUM Isoplate thermal boards are a pressure proof insulation plate, made of polystyrene hardfoam with a concrete coating on both sides. Available in thicknesses of 10 mm. Thermal boards give a waterproof sub-base for the direct application of underfloor heating and ceramic tiles.
Application:
The thermal boards are suitable for domestic and commercial use. The boards are ideal for areas such as bathrooms, shower rooms and wet shower cubicles, kitchens and conservatories and in any other area where water and moisture may cause problems.
MAGNUM Isofoam
MAGNUM Isofoam is a 6 mm thin polystyrene insulation that can be used in combination with MAGNUM Microfoil. This foam is not only warmth-insulating but also has sound reducing specifications. Ideal for wooden floors!
